Five Day OH&S Workplace Commonwealth Representatives Course

This course is designed for Commonwealth Government employees who are the occupational health and safety representative in their workplace.

This course includes the following:

• Introduction to health and safety at work
• Legislation and agreements
• Regulations, standards and codes of practice
• Workplace visit
• Methods of identifying hazards in the workplace
• Hazard identification and control - specific hazard
• Role play exercise
• Group work exercise — the health & safety representative
• Sources of information
• Compensation and rehabilitation

OH&S Induction Course

Introduction to OH&S for supervisors and staff unfamiliar with

• rights and responsibilities under NSW legislation
• Implementing a system of OH&S management

Authorised Officers Training Course

If you are a Union Official, this course is essential to exercise rights of entry properly under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (1984).

This course includes:

• Understanding the OH&S legislative framework and risk management principles;
• Advise on workplace issues;
• Identify, investigate and resolve OH&S issues in the workplace;
• Work effectively with WorkCover Inspectors.

One day Refresher Course for OH&S Committee Members

Re-elected Commonwealth OH&S Reps committee members should attend a refresher course at the beginning of their second term.
